Artwave was born out of frustration of living in a country with thousands of lakes, but without surfable waves. The initial thinking circled around how sails make boats move and wings keep airplanes up in the air. So putting wings in water to create waves just seemed like an idea worth a try.

Today Artwave is a patented technology for creating surfable waves in open water. We enable a cost efficient, environmentally responsible surfing experience everywhere, for everyone.

Artwave is the first man-made wave, which does not require a massive upfront investment or operating expenses. Nor does it need a pool. We deliver an easy set-up for urban shorelines, rivers, lakes, ponds and resorts with many simultaneous waves.

Our solution is entirely mobile. Once we leave, there is no permanent trace in the nature. Only positive impact as waves renew oxygen in water by keeping it moving and refreshed. This is called water aeration, which also prevents algae blooms.
